Areas of Practice

I have throughout my career resolved a broad range of disputes. Aside from matrimonial law (where different skills and experienced are required) I am able to mediate virtually any dispute. But in my practice as a disputes lawyer there are some common themes.

I have since the early 90’s taken a keen interest in corporate disputes arising from fraud and/or the insolvency of businesses - working in various countries from USA to Europe to the Indian sub-continent to the Far East to recover assets for the benefit of the creditors, acting mainly for the Insolvency office-holders.

I have acted in many shareholders, partnership and joint venture disputes which often combine both tangible business issues and emotion so often demand the most sensitive of handling to achieve as a good an outcome as possible for all involved.

I have acted for a number of insurers in a range of types of claim, such as subrogated property damage claims against 3rd parties, policy coverage disputes, and fraudulent claims.

I have a good deal of experience in challenging and defending claims to assess and recoverremuneration/costs of professionals and have gained a specialist mediation qualification in this area from CADR (Costs ADR).

I have acted in numerous property related disputes from easements, rights to light, restrictive covenants and boundaries to landlord and tenant disputes.
